[News] ASENDIA Awarded Prime Minister's Commendation for RF Technology Self-Sufficiency

2025.10.28

Munsu Park, CEO of ASENDIA, was honored with the Prime Minister's Commendation at the '18th Semiconductor Day' ceremony, held on the 22nd at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas.

This award recognizes his contributions to strengthening industrial competitiveness by leading the technological independence of core RF components in the semiconductor equipment industry, as well as through quality innovation and sustainable management.

Under CEO Park's leadership, ASENDIA successfully localized the RF system components—specifically the 'RF Matching Network (Matcher)' and 'RF Generator' for semiconductor equipment—which previously had high overseas dependence, by developing proprietary technology.

This achievement realized technological self-sufficiency within the domestic semiconductor equipment industry. Furthermore, through technical collaboration with global semiconductor equipment manufacturers, ASENDia has advanced its high-frequency matching and plasma control technology, significantly enhancing the stability and efficiency of RF systems.

Currently, ASENDIA is recognized by major domestic and international semiconductor equipment companies as a reliable supply chain partner, leveraging its proprietary technology. It is consistently expanding its market share in the RF Matcher and Generator sectors and is strengthening its cooperation network with global equipment manufacturers by pursuing an integrated RF platform business that addresses next-generation semiconductor processes.

Since taking office, CEO Park has established 'Technology Leadership and Quality Innovation' as his core management philosophy. He has spearheaded R&D systems and quality innovation activities with the goal of securing global competitiveness for domestic RF technology. In particular, he has strengthened manufacturing quality and process stability by introducing the 'Change Point Management System' for systematic product change control, a 'Process Audit System' focused on on-site quality checks, and an internal non-conformance management system.

ASENDIA is also excelling in ESG management in addition to technological competitiveness. By operating a 99.54kW solar power generation facility completed in September 2025, the company self-procures approximately 140,000 kWh of electricity annually, expanding the use of eco-friendly energy. Furthermore, it is building a sustainable management system that includes greenhouse gas emission control, ISO certification, and an RE100 response strategy, drawing attention as an eco-friendly innovation leader in the semiconductor industry.

CEO Park stated, "This award is the result of the dedication and passion of all ASENDIA employees," adding, "We will continue to contribute to strengthening the global competitiveness of the Korean semiconductor industry through complete RF technology independence and ESG-based sustainable growth."
